Youth Olympics

This program is informally formal. :) The night is built around a competition, which consists of individual and group activities. Students have the opportunity of earning points through playing games, memorizing Scripture, bringing friends, and competing in large group activities. The students are accumulating points to earn prizes. Each time a student attends Youth Olympics, they will accumulate points, which will eventually translate into a prize - Bible, Book, CD, Movie, etc.
The formal aspect of this informal program, is found in the arrangement of the evening. The students will begin with dinner, then have some free time to play games or just hang out. We will then have a large group activity for everyone to participate in, and finish up with a brief lesson. While this is a great program for every student, it is especially so for the student who is tentative about mixing into a large group of people, or the student who would like a chance to get to know their fellow students in a more informal setting than Sunday Morning.
